Lizard People / Lizard Humanoids

In Minecraft, there are nearly no (somewhat) intelligent species, the only ones being Villagers and Pillagers. There needs to be a different threat than just an offshoot of the peaceful Villagers.

We need intelligent monsters. One such option is the addition of Lizardmen or some alteration of Lizard Humanoids that live in swamps or other damp biomes.

These humanoids carry spears, made from wood or stone, but a chieftain carries an even greater spear. They lack the more technologically advanced and peaceful villagers. They are vicious and tenacious while also possessing a great sense of smell and instincts.

They should live in either grass buildings and leather teepees with wooden guard towers and fences or inside the walls of hills or mountains. Where they send out small raid parties to obtain resources.
