Villagers change depending on how good you’ve treated them.

If a villager has been treated well as a kid ( around parents, has a good living space, iron golems in the village) then they will have better trades when they are an adult. The better they are treated the more they will want to work with you and the better trades they will have. If a villager has been treated bad when they are a kid ( no iron golem, sometimes hit, away from parents) the worse trades they will have and the higher chance of being a nitwit. If a villager was treated VERY bad as a kid ( lives in a 1x1 space, gets hit often, attacked by zombies often) they and they’re parents have a chance of moving to the pillagers. Once they are pillagers they will attack you ( the player, not the village) often and steal crops and other things from the village.

    That’s a bit too harsh, especially on mobile. Accidentally hitting villagers is a big problem there.
