The Tome of Attraction would act just like the Gravity Pulse enchantment on armor. Once activated, it would pull enemies in repeatedly, but would do so every second, instead of every other second like the enchantment does. The duration would last somewhere around 10 seconds, and the cooldown would be around 30-40 seconds.
As the item’s power level increased, there would be 3 options for it to become more powerful. It could either have a longer duration, a shorter cooldown, or a larger pulse strength. This would mean that mobs are pulled in more quickly every second, making it more likely that they come into your reach. You should also be able to tap the button again to cancel the effect whenever you want to.
The Tome of Attraction would be great for fast-paced melee builds with short reach, especially when fighting tons of ranged mobs. I can already feel the excitement of going on a rampage in Fiery Forge and absolutely destroying skeletons & pillagers while they’re trying to run away from me, but are unable to escape.
This would be a good alternative to Gravity Pulse because Gravity Pulse is very situational. Sure, it’s helpful at times, but oftentimes you just want to keep the mobs at bay. By being able to activate and cancel this effect whenever you want, and having it be twice as powerful when you do, you gain much more control over a very situational yet helpful effect.
