Wandering labourers, farm hands, journeymen

I would love to have wandering farm labourers, farm hands, journeymen/-women in Minecraft. They could spawn like other characters and come wandering by dwellings to offer their services in exchange for board and lodging and/or payment. Such services could also be limited to a certain amount of time such as 365 day cycles before needing to be renewed. For that time period, the character would then be working in a certain area such as a walled-in/fenced-in area around a dwelling or in a certain radius around their bed.

They could then help you cultivate your fields, groom your animals, do certain jobs such as chop wood, fish ...
