Electricity; a new Redstone? {The "Copper Contraptions" update.}

The Electricity could be used as a bulkier, and wireless redstone. It of course would require more to activate than flicking a switch. One of the ways to generate electricity would be to use lightning rods. The lightning would then be an infinite source of electricity. Electricity would hurt the player when touching a chord (The rod used to move lightning). This wouldn't be a replacement to work as a lot of mods are, but rather a new opportunity for redstone contraptions. A few redstone items could require specifically electricity to run rather than having both as an option. Some of the potential ways to generate electricity is by flicking levers or imputing a regular redstone signal several times. One of the potential uses for electricity would be electric fences, or electric pistons, {Now with double length!}.
