Making the underwater more dangerous!!

So, we have our beautiful ocean full of coral, fish and dolphins. And ships! I would like to suggest something that would make the shipwrecks more dangerous. Specifically, pirates. Aside from the drowned you'll encounter on the way, and the limited amount of oxygen, there's nothing making it difficult or challenging to enter. So, my suggestion is ghost pirates. Why? Why the heck not? But here are some actual reasons. Well reason number one is what I like to call..lore :) They could be of relation to the Drowned or the Guardian/Elder Guardian, the souls of cruel and greedy pirates who want nothing more than to protect their loot. Maybe they could have been fused with a skeleton, a zombie, a ghooooost? There is a ton of loreish reasons, feel free to add or remove bits and pieces. Reason two, it would make the atmosphere more stressful, more challenging, more exciting! These pirates could wear tattered up light brown and red cloths, with a big old ripped up pirates hat. They can be half skeleton half humane, they can be burnt alive!! As you can see, there's tons of reasons as to why a ghost pirate would be a good idea for shipwrecks. Good for creepypastas, as well!
