I was wondering wether it was ever planned to design an "eco-mode" for minecraft.
This would result in a reduced consumption of resources when the application doesn't receive any input (when the user leaves the PC on or is working on another window and has the game in the background) the FPS get automatically reduced in order to reduce CPU throughput. It would be good if the "activation timeout" could be set up (maybe via one of the sliders that already exist in the game) to "never activate" down to a very small interval (e.g. 1-3 minutes). This would result not only in reduced electricity consumption, but also in reduced noise from the device.
I know this might be a complex request since it would require to be worked on the system-application "interface" and wouldn't be just an "in-game feature", but I wanted to suggest it anyway.
