A lot of the structures in Minecraft are OLD and need a desperate coat of paint. Next to the ender update, the structure update is in high demand. Here are some ideas to give new life to some generated structures.
Dungeon- Ah the simple dungeon. I think these should still be in the game, but renamed to Spawner Cells. A new mineshaft like structure called Crypts should be added, filled with loot and undead mobs. Some new mobs could even spawn here, like wraiths and the necromancer.
Nether Fortress- SO disappointed this wasn't in the nether update. This very old structure should be remodeled with nether brick variants and quartz related blocks, as well as contain a ruined portal. The loot table should also be reworked to include 1.16 content, like Lodestones.
Woodland Mansion- What is the point now in going here? Some new items, such as the vexing chant from Dungeons, will add more incentive to come here. Another idea is a bounty raid, which triggers after defeating all Evokers in a mansion, and involves the Illusionist and other Illagers hunting you after a certain time. The Illusionist might drop some powerful new items...
Stronghold- Should have an updated layout and include new hazards.
The jungle and desert temples should also be updated in some way, like varying traps.
Hope you liked my ideas. Post any thoughts in the comments.
