Hitodama would be a great addition to Minecraft.
If you don't know what Hitodama are let me explain. In Japanese folklore, Hitodama are balls of fire (Usually a light blue, red, or orange) that mainly float in the night. They are said to be the souls of the dead.
(They are similar to the will-o'-the-wisp or Ignis fatuus)
So how could Hitodama work?
Spawning:
They should spawn in a new biome. Sakura forests. Wich im not going to talk about that much as the focus is on the mob. But I will say that not many creatures should spawn in them, besides Hitodama and foxes. And the forests should be a bit foggy and mysterious. They should be a bit uncommon and shouldn't float in big groups.
Light:
The Hitodama should emit a small or medium amount of light. It should be the color of the Hitodama. (Orange, Red, or light blue) The Hitodama could also be able to be captured with a new item the net. They would be able to be used in lanterns and would change the color of a lantern to the color of the Hitodama.
Drops:
Hitodama should only drop XP. Wich would deter the player from killing the peaceful spirit wich will never attack player no matter the circumstance.
Thank you for reading this and listening to my idea!
