I’m sure we’ve all had the same feeling when we come across a pony for the first time, or a tiny baby turtle, or even a baby axolotyl, and we’ve stopped and fawned over how cute they are for a minute. But sadly at the moment they will always grow up, and as much as it’s easy to breed most mobs, you can then lead to overcrowding.
I’d love for there to be some kind of mechanic so that we could “freeze” the ageing process for baby mobs if we wish. I thought a good way of doing this would be to add a new enchant in the game that can only be found in chests/treasure etc as an enchanted book. This would mean that it would be still quite rare to be able to achieve this with multiple mobs.
The book can then be added to a name tag on the anvil so that the mob can be named if desired. The enchant could be called something like “Eternal Youth”, and when the name tag is placed on a mob, it will stop them from ever growing up.
I thought this would be a nice addition as the baby mobs are absolutely adorable and it’d be nice to have a few permanent ponies etc in my pens next to my base to add to the look of my farm. Likewise it could be used on children villagers as it’s nice to see them running around the village but not so easy to breed villagers.
I am playing on Bedrock Xbox
