Pangolins are critically endangered mammals that live in Africa and Asia. They are captured and killed by poachers for their scales and meat, and often smuggled out of the country to be sold on the black market. Unfortunately pangolins are not a well known species and therefore do not get much support from the public. This would change if they were added to Minecraft. I have loved pangolins ever since I learned about them and it would make me so happy to see them added to the game! As a Savannah update has been mentioned before, I think pangolins would fit perfectly into this update. Pangolins main source of food is ants and termites. So in game, since termites have been suggested before, there could be a drop when you kill termites that can be fed to pangolins. Pangolins would drop nothing when killed, when attacked, pangolins will roll into a ball, the pangolins will stay in that ball for three seconds before unrolling. Pangolins would also roll up when any hostile mobs are nearby. It would be great if you could tame pangolins using the termite drop, they would act like cats, approaching slowly. But if not that, it would be good for you to be able to earn a pangolins trust by feeding it instead. Pangolins would be an adorable mob and would spawn in savannahs, deserts, and jungles(jungle variant would have green tinted scales and can climb trees). I think pangolins would add a wonderful mob to the game and I would love to see them added in the near future. Thank you! :D
