Minecarts move, fill up and empty, in unloaded chunks

Minecarts are not a very practical way to transport items short range, and currently they can't be used for long range transport. Minecarts should be able to move, fill up, and empty in unloaded chunks. Like factorio trains but using current minecart/hopper logic This would make resource collection and managment far easier than it is now, and would make railway systems far more practical.

They could even just load single chunks they're in

    you can already just use chunk loaders but i still think that mine carts should be made more useful by making them "work" in unloaded chunks. they wouldn't load the chunk but would still be able to move around.

    I know this post is old, but this really needs to be in the game by now. What is the point of a minecart and chest if its only useful for contraptions that could probably just use hoppers at that short of a distance. STOP NEGLECTING MINECARTS, MAKE THEM USEFUL
