The Sanctum Expansion includes: 1 achievement, 1 new mob, and 1 new discoverable building.
Found in Giant Tree Taigas, Sanctums are small castle-like building, abandoned or Non-destroyed(Alive). If the Sanctum is still fully built then it is still operational. If it appears to be in ruins then it is abandoned. An abandoned sanctum is no where near as rare as an operational sanctum. The abandoned sanctum only has an an small area that is not in ruins, a tomb. If you dig down under the tomb their is an skeleton in all gold armour. If you kill it their is an chance of it dropping all of the armour halfway used.
An operational sanctum is extremely rare. It is not in-ruins at all and is castle inspired like I said earlier (but small-medium.) It is built in stone or if approved creators choice of stone or alternative option. The sanctum has different Stained Glass onsides The inside has an small "praying area" right by the tomb where the new mobs "Promisers" are. Promisers refuse to leave the side of their fallen ruler, earning the name "Promisers." The promisers will only attack if you mine the tomb, attack them, or steal anything inside the sanctum. The tomb works exactly the same as it does if it's abandoned. Promisers are basically villagers with jewelry. Their are normally 6 Promisers in an sanctum. Promisers have 22 hearts! Once killed they can drop one of any ore. Inside the sanctum their are 4 chests that can have up to 4 gold. The rarest item you can find is an mending.
