Many enchantments in the game are useful in all scenarios and/or have great synergy with other abilities, but there are quite a few overlooked enchantments that are either unnoticeable, unhelpful, or even outright worse than nothing. So here are some suggestions for ways to improve bad enchantments. I've sorted them from 'makes life worse' to 'almost good.'
MAKES LIFE WORSE:
- Gravity Pulse This armor enchantment is a certain twist on the Gravity enchantments for weapons, but not a good one. At all. It's clear that the idea here was to make an enchantment for tank-style players to help draw aggression, but do you know what nobody on the team wants? Enemies being randomly pulled around towards players. Enemies including Creepers. Pleeease change this enchantment, maybe cause it to blast mobs away instead or something. Because there is no reason for this to exist when we have the actually useful Gravity enchantments.
- Reckless The idea for this enchantment isn't actually terrible, but removing 60% of the player's HP for like, 40% more damage makes me feel like this enchantment has an overall negative impact. How do you do damage if you can't survive a single hit? And plus, what will you do if you find an enemy with Thorns?! A possible alternative might be to instead cause the player's death to remove 2 or even 3 lives instead of 1, which would still be nerve-wracking, but less unfair.
If all goes well, I will soon comment the next group of enchantments in need of an upgrade.
