In the new test version of 1.18 hostile mobs only spawn at light level 0. Instead of at light level 7 like before.
I fear it’ll become too easy on the surface if they only spawn at level 0. So my idea is that they’ll spawn only at light 0 below a certain Y-level. Above that level they’ll spawn at 7 as usual.
