Ender Turrets

As you explore the End, you notice a black, crystal like object floating in the distance. The Ender Turret are mysterious “creatures” that float in place. Upon detecting a nearby entity that does not have any relation to the end, they will proceed to fire projectiles, that, while weak, pack some serious knock back. They will mostly spawn near the various structures in the end and occasionally over the void. While threatening, these mobs don’t have a too great of detection and are quick to kill. Upon death, they drop nothing.

    Maybe, instead of dropping nothing, the Ender Turrets could drop their projectiles? While less damaging than arrows, they could provide more knock back than an arrow; this could potentially be multiplied with the knock back enchantment. Further, this could be one more projectile option that could be strategically used in combat or mini-games.
