craters/ meteors

Basically, my idea is to add randomly generated craters in most of the biomes in minecraft, it would have a certain chance of the rock to be buried into the area it spawns in, and creates a whole area where items like quartz or variants of stone would spawn. This could act as an easier way to not only get resources from different dimensions ( and earlier to ), but it could act as a risk for reward type thing were the could have a bunch of fire around the area ( and maybe even lava ), as well as a bunch of magma blocks in the area, lastly, it could add some more lore into minecraft because if items that are exclusive from the nether ( like quartz ) can be inside meteors that fall into the minecraft world could spawn a bunch of theories about were the nether exactly is and how the meteors spawn, and that could itself grow the community together by sharing theories and trying to find the best and most reasonable one, you can maybe even add some of the theories as lore into the game, further expanding the lore.

    I really like the idea, but I think there is some more potential for these craters and meteorites. For example: these craters could have large meteorites composed of rare or new materials that could only be found at these sites; perhaps a new ore or block with useful properties? Also, this could merit the addition of a new mob that spawns in and around the craters. Maybe a golem-like rock creature or a flying space creature or both? These could make finding a crater / meteorite more worthwhile and exciting for players, as well as give a reason to seek out these structures. Just a thought...

    I feel like we should not add more ores, we need to give the existing ones more purpose.

    What if ancient debris and/or raw iron blocks can spawn in these? Maybe nether blocks spawn in these, as if they came from that world?
