As the title suggests, it would be great to have a game rule that toggles whether or not anvils take damage. Something like /gamerule doAnvilDamage or /gamerule anvilDamage, etc.
The primary intent behind this would be for anvils used decoratively in adventure/survival maps. There is a risk of the player using decorative anvils extensively enough such that they destroy that part of the map's decoration.
Anvils, given their interesting collision hitbox, also are sometimes used in parkour. The incorporation of that into an adventure map poses the same risk of the anvils being destroyed through excessive use by a player.
This would also be beneficial for those hoping to have an easier survival experience or those who enjoy using the falling anvil mechanic extensively.
