The current combat system in Minecraft Education (and Bedrock) feels too similar to the old 1.8 spam‑click style. While this is fast, it removes the depth and strategy that the modern Java combat system offers. The Java 1.9+ combat mechanics (attack cooldown, weapon timing differences, stronger shields, meaningful crits) make combat more skill‑based, tactical, and rewarding.
It would greatly improve the gameplay experience if Minecraft Education had an option to enable Java‑style combat. This would help players learn timing, strategy, and proper combat mechanics, and it would make the game feel more consistent across editions.
Please consider adding a toggle or experimental feature for Java combat in Education Edition.
