The Creeper’s texture is based on an old oak leaves texture that no longer exists in Minecraft. I suggest adding new Creeper variants whose textures depend on the type of leaves most common in their biome.
For example, in a Pale Garden, a “Pale Creeper” variant could spawn, with a texture based on pale oak leaves. Similarly, in a Cherry Grove, a pink “Cherry Creeper” variant could appear, and forests could feature a more modern oak-themed Creeper. These new variants could spawn alongside the original Creeper, similar to how Strays and Husks spawn alongside Skeletons and Zombies. In biomes without leaf blocks, only the original Creeper would spawn.
I believe this would also impact gameplay. These new variants would force players to be more cautious in wooded areas, as spotting Creepers would become much more difficult.
Additional idea: Each Creeper variant could produce leaf particles matching its biome when it explodes.
