    I don't think this is possible. To do so would require distant objects to become less detailed (the game loads all blocks regardless of distance), which has visual implications and changes that Mojang, being much more structured in their updates now, would not likely tag onto any addition in the foreseeable future. And even then, it wouldn't be infinite, just extremely vast.
