Inventory/Item/2D Mob (2D Mob that lives in your Inventory as an Item)

I think it would be cool to have a unique mob/pet that specifically lives in your inventory. It's health/hunger would be a durability bar beneath it, and it could be fed by dragging and dropping food onto it like a bundle.

As for what it can do, I was thinking it could be used to sort/organize your inventories. While copper golems would organize by putting the items into the chests, these mobs would organize the items that are in the chests, making them look nice and in order, putting them next to each other in groups, etc.

    I was thinking that the mob would have to be small, something like a bug or small rodent, maybe a pack rat

    The mob could also exist outside of the inventory, but could be picked up and placed inside. This could work just by clicking on it, kind of like the bucket

    Another idea is that these mobs have a nest-type block that they can enter into, but you can open the block like an inventory or GUI and see the mobs inside. From there, you can pick them up and place them into other inventories.

    There could be different variants/textures of these mobs just for looks, but they could also sort the inventories in different ways. Some could do it into groups, alphabetically, by type (such as the Creative Mode inventory, blocks and tools, etc), etc

    I think a great idea would be Ants. You could have an Ant Hill block that acts like a Bee Nest, but the player-crafted version (like the Beehive) would be the Ant Farm, which is more 2D like a trapdoor. This is where it can be opened up like a GUI and the Ants can be taken out as item-mobs and placed into other inventories

    This could be a variant of slimes / magma cubes when they turn into slime balls and magma creams. Just make those items sentient
