Bedrock needs Local P2P World Sync. Stop siloing saves! Let's move worlds via Wi-Fi without the cost of Realms or cloud storage.
Minecraft is "Play Anywhere," but our worlds are stuck on one device. I'm proposing a local Peer-to-Peer sync system that lets players move world data directly between devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
By using a simple direct handshake—like a pairing code or QR scan—we can transfer data without needing expensive cloud servers. This is a massive win for the dev team because it costs Mojang $0 in storage fees while solving the "lost save" problem for console and mobile players. It keeps data private, transfers are lightning-fast over LAN, and it finally achieves true cross-platform parity for our save files.
I would love it and I'm surely not alone?
