Undying Books

First thing is the Undying Book. There would be a new block, the Undying Table. You put a regular book, lapis lazuli, a Totem of Undying, and any special item. Depending on the item, the book would have a different ability upon death. It would go on your off hand and do everything a totem does but with a special ability. To make it not overpowered, every time you die it would take durability away(when there's no more durability it wouldn't be destroyed, it just won't work). To re add the durability, you would have to put totems on the Undying Table with the Undying Book. Depending on the rarity the more powerful an Undying Book would be(Uncommon would be good, Rare would be really good, and Epic would be the best). If this was an update, it would the add the Enchanter(it drop an Undying book, uncommon books would be most likely, rare books would be semi- common, and epic books would be the rarest) from Dungeons. It also add retextures to Enchanting Books and add some of other random Enchanted books.
