Dear Mojang team,
Currently, in Minecraft, to feed or breed a mob you need to interact directly with it, “giving the item to its mouth” through a click. I would like to propose a new mechanic that would make the game more natural and fun: allowing mobs to automatically consume the correct items when they are dropped on the ground. For example, cows would only eat wheat, chickens only seeds, wolves only meat, and so on.
Benefits of this idea:
• More realism: animals would feel more alive, searching for food in the environment as they would in nature.
• Easier management: players could feed large herds without having to click on each mob individually.
• New farm possibilities: automatic breeding and feeding systems could be created, expanding community creativity.
• Intuitive gameplay: each mob would behave consistently with its diet, making the world more logical and engaging.
This mechanic would preserve the balance of the game, since mobs would only consume the specific items that make sense for them, avoiding problems such as accidental loss of rare resources.
I believe this addition would bring more dynamism and enjoyment to Minecraft without compromising the challenge or organization of the game.
