IOS to Windows

I have an old minecraft world on my Ipad that I want to be able to play on my computer. The only way seems like to make a realm out of the world which costs money. I think there should be a way to transfer your world cross platforms in a free and simple way. I tried to go about it in a roundabout way asking ChatGPT what I should do, compressing files and whatnot and nothing worked. I am very upset about this because I worked very hard on this world and I won't be able to play it anymore.
