Hello Mojang Studios team,
My name is João Pedro, and I am a long-time Minecraft player and part of the Bedrock community. I would like to share an idea that many players discuss and truly wish to see in the game: an official proximity voice chat system in Minecraft.
Today, Minecraft is one of the biggest online games in the world. Many modern multiplayer games already include voice chat, and in the Java Edition, proximity voice chat mods are extremely popular and widely used, especially on roleplay and survival servers. This shows that the community really values this feature.
An official proximity voice chat, developed by Mojang itself, could be optional, disabled by default, and include strong parental controls, mute options, and reporting tools to ensure safety for younger players. Server owners could choose whether to enable it or not, and players would always stay in control.
This feature would greatly improve communication, immersion, and multiplayer experiences in both Java and Bedrock Editions, especially for players who do not have access to mods or external apps.
Minecraft has always evolved by listening to its community, and I truly believe this would be a meaningful and positive addition to the game in the future.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to create a game that inspires millions of players around the world.
Kind regards,
João Pedro
