I suggest expanding the Glow Ink system to make it a true customization feature in Minecraft:
1. Armor Customization
Allow Glow Ink Sacs to be used in the Smithing Table or Crafting Table to add glowing accents to armor trims or patterns.
This would not change armor stats — only its visual appearance. The glow could be subtle, similar to glow item frames.
2. Banners
Allow Glow Ink to be applied to banners so their patterns softly glow in the dark.
This would make bases, towns, and maps more expressive at night.
3. Decorated Pots
Allow Glow Ink to be applied to decorated pots, making their patterns glow.
This would turn pots into beautiful ambient decorations for builds and ruins.
These changes would:
- Give the Glow Squid a stronger gameplay identity
- Encourage exploration of oceans and caves
- Expand creative expression without affecting balance
- Fit naturally with existing Minecraft systems
This keeps everything optional and cosmetic, while adding depth and creativity to the game.
