Quick Sand: that looks the same as sand but moves like water that you can't break out of

blood moon: husks eyes turn red and do more damage

hot and cold environment: at day if you are wearing a full set of Armour in the desert your hunger will deplete faster -

at night you will get slowness if not wearing a full set of Armour

more common ores: under the desert sand or in caves under deserts iron and copper is more common
