I suggest adding a new family of apex predators to the game. These "Big Cats" would bring unique social mechanics and hunting strategies to the Savannah and Jungle.
1. Lions and Lionesses (Savannah):
Social Structure: Unlike other mobs, Lions live in Prides. A pride consists of one dominant Male (with a large mane) and several Lionesses.
Hunting: Lionesses are the primary hunters. They use pack AI to surround prey like Zebras or Cows.
Behavior: The Male Lion is neutral unless a player gets too close to the pride or the cubs, at which point he will let out a powerful Roar that gives the player a "Weakness" or "Slowness" effect for a few seconds.
2. Leopard (Jungle and Savanna):
The Silent Hunter: The Leopard is a solitary and stealthy predator. It can climb vertical surfaces and tree trunks with ease.
Ambush Mechanic: It prefers to hide in the leaves of trees and pounce on its prey from above.
Interaction: They are very fast and can outrun a player in a short sprint. They are natural rivals to the Ocelot.
3. Unique Mechanics:
Cubs: Both species have small, playful cubs. If a player protects a cub from other predators, the parents might become "Tolerant," allowing the player to pass through their territory safely.
Drops: They could drop Fur (used for decorative rugs) or Claws (used to craft a "Climbing Glove" to climb walls faster).
