I propose adding the Wild Boar to the game. Unlike domestic pigs, Wild Boars should be neutral but very territorial mobs that inhabit Forests, Taigas, and Swamps.
1. Appearance and Behavior:
Wild Boars are covered in thick dark bristles and have visible tusks. They are usually neutral, but if a player gets too close to their piglets, the entire group becomes hostile. They travel in small family groups (sounders).
2. Unique Mechanics:
Rooting: Boars frequently "root" the ground with their snouts. This could turn Grass blocks into Dirt or occasionally uncover items like Roots, Seeds, or even Potatoes.
Charging Attack: Instead of just biting, a boar performs a charge. It runs fast towards the player and knocks them back, dealing significant damage.
3. Interaction with the Environment:
Wild Boars love Mushrooms and Berries. You can lure them or distract them by throwing these items on the ground. They are also the natural prey for Wolf packs, creating a realistic food chain in the forest.
4. Breeding and Taming:
They cannot be tamed like dogs, but you can breed them using Potatoes or Beetroots. If a Wild Boar is bred for several generations near players, its offspring might slowly become less aggressive (a simplified domestication process).
5. Drops:
Boar Meat: A tougher meat that provides high saturation.
Tusk: A rare drop used to craft a Tusk Dagger or as a Smithing Template for armor spikes.
