fantastic idea that may come at some point, but it seems unlikely to me that the upper management at microsoft would be ok with officially support a competing handheld pc with a flagship title at such an early point in the handheld pc industry despite minecrafts long multi-platform history. stings even more because i dont think an xbox handheld would be very appealing compared to the steam deck for a multitude of reasons.

Perhaps even add an official Steam Version just like iOS or Android. But I do understand the difficulties around that since they have their own environment. One can only dream things would that easy.

My kid started playing Minecraft Bedrock on Switch 1 and loved it and played on a Realm with friends. However with recent updates he says it's no longer playable on that hardware. He now has a Steam Deck but no longer plays Minecraft as it does not work on Steam Deck natively. Really need official support for this from Mojang. I'm paying for a Realm but my kid cannot play on it because his current preferred game console is not supported. Very disappointing.
