Hello Mojang Team,
Currently, mobs in Minecraft fight until the very end, which makes combat repetitive and predictable. I suggest adding a new mechanic where mobs try to flee when their health is low. This would make encounters more dynamic and realistic, giving players a stronger sense of impact during battles.
When a mob’s health drops below a certain threshold, it could simply run away from the player. Passive mobs already flee when attacked, so extending this behavior to hostile mobs would create more variety. Zombies might stagger away, skeletons could retreat while still shooting arrows, and creepers might back off before deciding whether to explode.
This mechanic would also add strategy: players could choose to chase fleeing mobs to finish them off, or let them escape to avoid risk. Combat would no longer be just hitting until death, but involve decisions, positioning, and situational management.
Overall, mobs fleeing at low health would enrich survival gameplay, add tension and unpredictability, and make the world feel more alive.
