Useful Off-hand bedrock

In the recent Minecraft update, we were now allowed to have more flexible controller on Minecraft, like having an individual set of buttons for mining, and placing, so why wouldn't we add off hand items in bedrock? Not to mention you still need to crouch to use a shield, but that's a different topic. What I want to say is that we have been improving, and the lack of offhand items feels outdated. Imagine the things we can do using our useless off hand to something more meaningful, like mining while placing blocks at the same time without switching to other hotbar, mojang if your listening, please, add every items to be use offhand.
