Sure it works when you're just fighting mobs. But pvp with these shields is not fun at all. all anyone needs to do to be immune from all attacks from players is crouch. This really slows down pvp and just makes it boring. That is why most servers just remove shields, if shields didn't do knockback or they had a cooldown or something it would make pvp way more fun.
