A change for name tags

I just saw the new Minecraft 26.1 video which showcases a lot of new stuff but the craftable name tags caught my eye I was thinking about a change I would love to see implement into the game and that is being able to use the name tags without an anvil So basically using an empty name tag on any mob would show you a small screen where you can type in the new name You could still use an anvil but it would be for naming a lot of mobs with the same name for a purpose or to save time This would make crafting a name tag before getting an anvil still useful and would let players save on XP levels when starting new worlds
