Access the Aether After Beating the Ender Dragon

After you beat the E-Dragon you can place its egg in a Nether Portal which will light the portal to the much rumored aether. The aether should have new mobs (flying cows), new structures (floating castles, forest of eternal darkness) and a new boss(es). We’re basically hoping for new lands , bosses, and challenges. The creative nature of the game is great, but once you beat the E-Dragon the sense of purpose is gone. There is no mission and nothing new to explore.
