Now that we have an item for all painting variants, it would be great to have a way to get it through pick-block when looking at a painting on a wall. Normal pick block could return the generic painting, while the "NBT" pick-block (the variant shortcut adding more data) could return the exact targeted painting.
Right now, it is very hard to know which painting is on a wall. "looking_at_entity" in the F3 menu on Java Edition do not give that information (or I did not find where). Using "/data get entity" is not very accessible for the average user and not possible on Bedrock Edition. So, as it is now, you have to know the names by heart and find it in the many (many) entries of the creative inventory. Or you do not know and have to try them all (around 50 in 1.21.11). Or you have the wiki at hand, but still need to find it. It is particularly challenging as they all have the same item texture. You could also use /give with information from the wiki (after finding it using images), but it is not as convenient as a single shortcut. Having this suggested shortcut would solve this in under a second! Without needing F3, commands or the Wiki.
The normal pick-block shortcut could also return the exact painting (in creative mode only), if it makes parity easier for controllers and touchscreen devices.
