The Issue: For 15 years, the "Normal Zombie" has only had one look: a zombified Steve. In the 1.21.5 era, with 9 default characters (Steve, Alex, Sunny, Efe, Mekena, Noor, Kai, Ari, and Zuri), seeing a "clone army" of Steves every night breaks immersion and feels outdated. The Proposal: I propose adding 9 unique textures for the standard Zombie, representing all default skins. Random Spawning: Each of the 9 variants should have an equal chance (approx. 11.11%) to spawn anywhere. Consistency: To keep it simple, all 9 variants should use the standard 4-pixel (Classic/Steve) arm model to look more menacing and consistent with the classic zombie silhouette. Why Now? Technical Readiness: 1.21.5 introduced Cold/Warm/Temperate variants for cows and pigs. The "Data-driven" system is already there. Precedent: Zombie Villagers already have diverse textures based on biomes. Why not the player-type Zombies? Polishing Classics: Since Mojang is currently updating old models (like Cows), this is the perfect time to modernize the most iconic mob. Conclusion: Let’s make the world feel like it was once populated by a diverse group of adventurers. The technical foundation exists; we just need the skins!
