The phantom mob is the most annoying creature that should have not been implemented or thought of. The nighttime has plenty of hostile mobs to encounter and to fight for the night. However, the oceans and the Nether do not have as much hostile mobs that provide any challenge when entering these biomes.
The Barnacle makes total sense to implement with the addition of Nautilus and Zombie Nautilus. It will either pull you down, the boat, chest boat, or Nautilus and inflict damage to the entity as it drags it down. It will only spawn in deep oceans where kelp grows to surprise attack players. What was once a hostile mob idea that might ruin the ocean now makes sense to implement plus adds another ocean traversing challenge and a hostile ocean mob to go along with drowns and guardians. It will not attack zombie nautilus, however.
The Wildfire would add a challenge to the nether fortress and an update with that since it was avoided in the Nether update. It shall spawn in the lava well room via trial chamber spawner where it spawns in three blazes to assist in combating the player. The wildfire shall be a mini-boss for the Nether and that it can be a part of the storyline where it must be defeated prior to entering the stronghold and using an item dropped from it to open the portal. Plus it can drop either its crown or shield for combat improvements.
Mojang, Please remove the phantom and implement these mobs for a more fun, interactive, and fulfilling game.
