composter is very slow to use

I have a large plot of land it unsurprisingly makes a lot of excess seeds which I compost as I want to get my money's worth of all possible resources. but the problem is that I have to put seeds in one at a time with a delay that makes composting the usual stack of seeds unnecessarily S L O W and what I'd like added is a menu to open up when I click the compost button to place all the seeds at once. This issue is clearly not a gameplay feature and would be easily fixed with a simple user interface change.
