If you intersect two obsidian portals and ignite it, the portal will take you to the Evermore dimension. The Evermore is an eternal maze of mud brick structures. Each generation would be randomized and would consist of massive fractals. There are no animals or mobs in this dimension. Even the enderman stays away from this dimension. This is a place where you would be wandering aimlessly forever. You might occasionally find chests or structures that were clearly built by someone, but they have long since vanished.
Another cool thing about the Evermore is that you could build a house in this dimension. You can even grow crops or farm animals. This could be a place where you would be safe from monsters. And if a player was ever trying to hunt you, you could get lost in the Evermore and hide from them.
