Undead mounts in Minecraft already share several inherent traits: they cannot breed, do not recover health through food, are healed by Instant Damage potions instead of Instant Health, and are immune to poison. These characteristics clearly define undead mounts as mechanically distinct from their living counterparts.
Building on this existing identity, it would be interesting for all undead mounts to share an additional common passive that reinforces their role without turning them into direct upgrades.
The proposal is that all undead mounts are less affected by physical penalties, reflecting the idea of creatures that no longer feel pain, fear, or fatigue. In practice, this could translate into reduced or negated fall damage up to a certain limit and reduced impact from movement-restricting effects, such as Slowness or terrain that normally slows movement.
By tying this rule to the undead state itself rather than to individual creatures, undead mounts would gain a clearer and more consistent identity. The focus would not be on increasing speed or raw durability, but on reliability and tolerance to environmental hardship.
This shared passive would complement the traits undead mounts already have, reinforcing them as an alternative playstyle choice based on consistency and convenience, rather than absolute power.
