Spears are cool, but I feel like they're a little too niche. I was expecting them to be a new alternative to the sword - a weapon with different stats and longer reach that works just like a normal weapon. Don't get me wrong, it's super fun to mess with, but I realized the spear acts very similar to a lance. I know it was just added to the game and it'd be wierd to change it so drastically, but giving the spear's functionality to a new Lance weapon would not only be super awesome, it would give the devs more freedon for a potential future combat update, as they could add a new spear intended to be used in regular combat, an alternative to the sword that fits a different playstyle. The spear is too cool of a concept to only be effective on horseback.
