Way to protect horses and other mobs from poison from witches

Witches spawn in relatively common quantities and poison splash potion is very likely to be thrown at you, unlike players, who can solve this by drinking milk at least, horses have to wait till effect is over, very likely keeping horse on half hearth for significant amount of time, same witch can easily finish of such horse of by other splash potion or random skeleton can do that just by accident, even with netherite horse armor
it is similar issue for other mobs you are supposed to ride or bring around with you, such as wolves, llamas and donkeys, making them extremely vulnerable to witches specifically, and since witches have splash attacks, literally only counter is to avoid them entirely if you use mount or llama caravan and you dont want to lose those, so making exploration very dangerous for those mobs
some way cure or at least make poison effect shorter would be thing, maybe milk or honey could be made at least into potion that would be curing potion effects and thus could be made into splash potions to use on other mobs
or having some enchant or equipment you could put on those mobs to lower or shorten effects of poison
