Some ideas pursuant to the sense of a “living world” and villager society, but maintaining an indifference/ambivalence towards the player. Recommends are largely for master villagers. I very much love villagers as they are. Respect for the status quo and guidelines was front and center in writing this.
1. Toolsmiths - may drop basic shears, hoes, and fishing rods to other villagers (see below)
2. Master armorers have a chance to sell/drop a villager-only armor tunic. They may also repair iron golems. Villagers will equip tunic if in inventory when panicked.
3. Leatherworkers may repair villager tunics
4. Librarians provide books to Clerics
5. Clerics which have books have a chance to throw healing potions at low-health villagers, friendly mobs, and players
6. Farmers with hoes may make small gardens if no garden is found near their career block.
7. Fishermen with a rod and a career block may fish. While doing so, they have a small chance to drop items
8. Cartographers roam, testing pathfinding, and building matrices to share with other villagers
9. Weaponsmiths may attempt to defend themselves and escape using knockback if they take damage while panicked.
10. Shepherds have a small random chance to breed livestock with inventory food using trial and error.
11. Nitwits may pick up random small blocks, or collect dropped items. They may try to give items to other villagers. In a panic state, they empty their inventories. Nitwits cannot wear armor.
