The Insect update

Here's some bug ideas for Minecraft

Cockroach- Cockroaches can infest your builds and depending on the material, it can do it easier, they are smaller and more annoying versions of Silverfish. Cockroaches also have 400 HP and are durable.

Ants- Ants are in packs and can be seen in small ant hills around the map, ants have a queen and when you drop your items, they will scurry to pick them up, ants can also be seen fighting other ant colonies. Ants have 10 HP and deal 2 damage a hit, but fire ants have 15 HP and deal 4 damage.

Flies- Flies fly around where your pet died and also pollinate like bees, just less effectively, flies have only 1 hp, but they are in swarms and hard to hit, flies also reproduce quickly, at the same rate as Ants, up to 20 babies a day, Cockroaches only have 5 a day.

Caterpillars- Caterpillars roam around the world scouraging for food, they will crawl into your chest fill with food and eat a lot before they leave, Caterpillars have 10 HP and are mostly passive, but if you steal the food they are eating, they will deal 10 damage to you, they grow up into butterflies and repeat the cycle.

Mosquito- Mosquitos can go to your arm and sting you, and deal 2 dmg as they suck your blood, and give you an effect where you itch, mobs can get it too. Mosquitos can also deal up to infinite damage if you dont swat them away.

Bug spray- Spraying it into a patch of bugs will kill them, the only ones immune are cockroaches.

There will be possibly trillions of bugs in one world.
