I just got myself some sniffers and got my first pitcher pod, and I realized that despite being a type of pitcher (famous for being carnivorous), pitcher plants don't eat anything. Therefore, I propose: they eat bees! Whenever a bee would try to pollinate a pitcher plant, it would instead be eaten. It could take time for this to happen; the pitcher might need time to digest, or maybe not, whatever Mojang desires. I'm not sure what would come as a result of a bee being eaten; perhaps it would create a new pitcher pod so that you can plant even more of them, perhaps this is how you get an all new item. If the interaction does create something, it could be turned into a farm where the player has to breed bees manually. I don't think this would be a great problem for natural bees, as for them to be eaten, a player would first have to acquire a pitcher plant, then put it near their nest. I would also have to assume that you would also no longer be able to breed bees with pitcher plants.
