Copper Pressure Plates have a rim around them that glows if they are receiving a Redstone signal, similarly to a Copper Bulb. When a powered Copper Pressure Plate is stepped on by a player wearing Copper Boots, the circuit powering the plate, and the plate itself, are unpowered and the player gains the Charged effect, with electricity crackling on all Copper Armor they're wearing. The signal strength determines how long the Charged effect lasts. If a player with the Charged effect then steps on an unpowered Copper Pressure Plate, they'll transfer the charge to the plate and power whatever circuit is attached! Like a Copper Bulb, this is a toggle-like system, and a signal can be carried back and forth without losing power so long as the player doesn't dilly-dally while carrying the signal. This would offer a great opportunity for traps, puzzles, games, and funky circuits of all sorts! Entities wearing Copper Armor would be able to do the same thing with carrying signal as well.
To go with this, if a player/mob wears a full set of Copper Armor in a thunderstorm, they'll be more likely to be struck by lightning. However, instead of hurting them, this gives them the Charged effect with the maximum signal strength attached, which they can then use to power a circuit through an unpowered Copper Pressure Plate!
This would add a much-needed gameplay flourish to Copper Armor (like Gold and Leather have already), and a whole new dimension to Redstone!
