It does not follow the generally understood numbering system used by not only Minecraft for 16 years, but the wider gaming space as well, creating confusion and making things less clear in an effort to create clarity. Additionally, changing something like this so late into a game's lifecycle does nothing but foster a sense of "fixing what aint broke" and makes it seem like you are searching for problems that do not exist.
